Post7: A piece of art.

I am such a lover of art. I am drawn to so many different forms and styles. I would actually love to work in an art gallery someday(probably when my kids are grown and in college). I love learning the history and artists story behind their piece.

But I have to say the art that makes me smile, that makes me melt, that speaks to my heart the most is the art that Dalan brings home from preschool. I love putting his "pieces" on the fridge and looking at his creations. I love watching him draw or color a picture and then listen to his story behind his artwork. His drawings have already matured so much in just the last year and I love seeing him grow artistically. Just one of those simple joys of being a mom.

These are pieces of Dalans art from last year's preschool class(3 years old). I save my favorites and then make a calendar using his art for grandparents. Its a great gift and fun way to share his art with family. (plus...i must admit it can be a little overwhelming with all the projects that come home from school....so this is a great way to cut-down on the clutter and create a sentimental gift : ).
